Corie, one of David & Kristina’s good friends just got engaged to Tyler (check out the proposal photos here), so we were excited to do their engagement photo session. They met at Smiley’s Acoustic Café in downtown Greenville, so what better place to go as a starting place for their engagement photos.

Downtown Greenville SC has so many great places for photos even when most of the greenery has gone away for the winter. Main St in the heart of downtown Greenville is always so alive throughout the entire year. Also as mild as the winters are here, we even got some great weather in the middle of December!
So those of you who know what a photography geek I am know how excited I get to work with a couple who let’s me have free reign to shoot what I want to shoot…in this case I was itching to pull out my film cameras again. As a film wedding photographer, (yes I shoot digital too) I really love to slow down and make every frame count.
What an honor it was when Megan asked me to photograph her wedding! I’ve (David) known Megan since High School when we were in the voice program at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville. So excited to be able to reconnect with Megan again and photograph her and Mike’s wedding at St. Mary’s and Thornblade this weekend.
We were able to get just a hint of Fall color in the background of these engagement photos…what a fun session! We really got to explore some of the less-frequented nooks and crannies around Downtown Greenville. Matt and Mary-Stuart are getting married next Spring.
I’ve known Robert for what seems like forever. We’ve been great friends since high school, so it was an honor for he and his fiancée, Jessica, to ask me and Kristina to photograph their wedding. Robert upped the ante for me a little bit when he asked me (David) to be a groomsman too. Ha! I got this! Kristina will be taking the lead but except for some of the bridal party photos, we’ll be able to shoot the wedding day together. This is actually the second time I’ve been IN a wedding I was also PHOTOGRAPHING. (I don’t recommend doing this often, but I make exceptions for special people.)

All geared up for the last wedding of the year! Donnie and Monica are getting married today, New Years’s Eve. They will be the last clients we photograph in 2014 and the first clients we photograph in 2015…kinda cool!
