We started the day at Jessica’s parents house where the bride and bridesmaids were getting ready. They have a beautifully landscaped back yard and pool area. It was a tad warm (97 degrees in the middle of the day) so it was tempting to jump right into that pool!
Next we headed over to the Hyatt Regency where the gentlemen were getting ready in the Presidential Suite. The view from this room is incredible – not only can you see the entire atrium of the Hyatt but you can see mountains out the north windows and Noma Square to the west. This room is amazing! Heather T. with Upstate I Do was at the hotel to pin the boutonnieres and make sure everything was running precisely on schedule.
After the Hyatt, we headed over to Larkins – to The Peace Center Wyche Pavilion for the ceremony and reception. Byron and Jessica had chosen to use the grass covered hill between the Pavilion and the amphitheater for their ceremony. It was a sunny afternoon, so a large tent kept everyone cool, while the bride and groom made their vows in front of the Reedy River.

Jessica’s dad is on the top 10 list for best dressed FOB (Father of Bride). He even had blue buttons on his shirt to match the blue suit and bowtie.
After the ceremony, the bridal party was able to take photos with the Liberty Bridge and Falls Park in the background, while the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour.
After the photos, the bride and groom were introduced into their reception in the Peace Center Wyche Pavilion. The Pavilion was beautifully decorated with lit trees in almost every corner, ferns decorated the stairs and the tables had beautiful floral decorations by Statice.
Larkins Wedding at the historic Wyche Pavilion
The guests enjoyed a delicious meal by Larkins Catering and Events and afterward danced the night away while Robert Batson with Pros Only kept the dance floor filled all night long.
A photo booth, also provided by Pros Only, gave the guests a little break from the action.
Another highlight of the evening for the guests was a surprise visit from the Clemson Tiger. Who knew he was such a good dancer?! How about the air guitar…i mean tail!
Of course Robert Batson, the DJ had to have a photo with the Tiger too.
Great idea! Personal fans to keep you cool on the dance floor…wishing I’d thought of that!
Decided to have some fun creating special effects with light streaks by using a slow shutter speed and a flash…I’m sure this was a realistic view for some on that crazy dance floor!
No words…
A sparker exit on the bridge over the Reedy River capped off this fun evening!
